Has the reality show American Idol affected your life in any way? Lets talk!
So here's the deal! I have a new book coming out called Reaching Out To The Stars (American Idol Dreams) If you have a facebook page, search the title and read about it. ReplyDeleteI have to say that I have really enjoyed American Idol. The only season I did not watch was the season Carrie Underwood won. The reason I didn't watch was because I was boycotting the show after Jennifer Hudson was voted off...Ha! After feeling vindicated when she became an A-list SUPER STAR and Simon apologized to her, I started watching again.
I admire those who try out for the show because they are really taking a chance on their dreams. I really respect that. I am not sure, if AI was around when I was within the age limit if I would have tried out. I may have been scared to fail (in a very public arena).
American Idol is truly the epitome of the american dream. Everyone with the guts has a shot to be a star (in the age bracket of 16-29).
I had a friend who boycotted when Constantine was voted off. I had my own meltdown in season 2 when Clay Aiken lost. We all do this.
ReplyDeleteI also admire those who try. This book is about following your dreams. I also love to sing but never fit into the age bracket and not sure if I would have had the confidence. Keep in mind, sometimes on the way to a dream, we find a better one. There is always a way of filling a void with happiness, whether it's being the next American Idol, or singing karaoke in our living room, lol! Find your happy place...That's what it's all about.
