Growing up, everyone has had the once dream to be famous which comes with having a childhood idol. Who were your childhood idols? Which one influenced you the most?
My star idol when I was young was Barbra Streisand! Absolutely LOVE her. I would listen to her records (yes I said records) over and over! I would watch all of her movies over and over. I own all of her concerts on DVD, all of her music and all of her movies!!! NEVER have seen her live though. Always wanted to before my time is up!
You need to see Barbara! I hear she has a bit of stage fright and her tickets are expensive but add it to the list of things you need to do before your time is up! Mine was Debbie Gibson! I went to 2 of her shows and owned all of her tapes and vhs, lol! I dressed like her and learned all of her dance moves! These idols influence us at a young age...and I know why you loved Barbara...you are talented too:)
I can honestly say that I did not have a lot of music idol's I wasn't really into music until Middle School and high school. I think what I always wanted to be like were the girls on TV sitcoms..I wanted to live in those types of homes, with siblings to have fun with, and cool clothes like Blossom. For me it was more of enying a fake lifestyle. If I had to pick, Sadly I went through a blossom phase where I wore tons of bad dresses and cute hats.
Everyone is influenced by someone on television or music, either way, it is all relevant. I remeber wanting to be like Alyssa Milano from Who's the boss because she was so beautiful. I also remember having a huge crush on Ricky Schroder and loving Silver Spoons. I actually went to Spencer Gifts and bought one of those pins that said I love Rick that I wore on my denim jacket. How mint is that, lol.
